On Tuesday, April 7, at 7 pm I'm part of a free 'Poetography’ event in downtown Edmonton. The evening is part of the Edmonton Poetry Festival, running all month in April. I'm one of three 'poetry-aligned' artists talking that night.
What does it mean to have a poetic eye? How do writers create an ekphrastic poem from photographic inspiration? Is the way photographers capture the world through their metaphorical and literal lenses a unique kind of poetry? Photographer Jeff Day, poet and novelist Wendy McGrath, and poet and photographer Trisia Eddy Woods will discuss their artistic approaches and join moderator Kim Mannix for a conversation on the fascinating intersections between poetry and photography.
Free No RSVP required.
Hope 2 đź‘€ you.
